How did Spice Black Hypocrisy Song Comes about; "So I physically didn’t make the beat. Jamar Kelley was the one who constructed this beat. And I led to the ideas and the instrumental, how I wanted it, and how I wanted to articulate myself. And, you know, the production, it took a long while, because I wrote and I stopped, and I came back and put it together. But it’s a very heart felt song to me because it really means a lot. It’s what I’ve been going through as a child, and everything. So, it really took a while for me to actual construct the song, and everything. So I have to say, big up to Jamar Kelley who physically built the rhythm and the beat for it" stated Spice.
The New Queen
Everybody who knows Spice, Queen Adansah, always known for lewd lyrics, excitement songs, verses of energy. Get ‘em something where they can dance on, that’s what they know Spice for. And so, immediately I started out that way, to say it’s not what you expect me to say. ‘Cause maybe they might expect me to say, “ski da da, bum bum, and ray”. Go on with myself. But this song, the starting of this song is reality. 'Cause it’s not what they expected me to say.
What inspired The Song
The moments that inspired this song was comments on social media from other dark-skinned women, or I should say other black women themselves. ‘Cause there’s different shades in black community. And I believe that they’re always degrading the darker skin girls, and there was a particular girl that went on a popular social media, and she was downplaying me because of the color of my skin. I mean, in Jamaica, I think society makes them feel like you have to have a lighter color to look better, or to get through society better. And so, I think those were things that inspired this song.

Lyrics: Black Hypocrisy
[Intro]
It's not what you expect me to say
But I'mma go ahead and say it anyway

[Verse]
('Cause) I was told I would reach further
If the colour of mi skin was lighter
And I was made to feel inferior
Cah society seh brown girls prettier
Mi love the way mi look
Mi love mi pretty black skin
Respect due to mi strong melanin
Proud of mi colour, love the skin that I'm in
Bun racism, demolish colourism
But the things weh mi a go seh
Yuh might not even have mi back
I get hate from my own race
Yes, that's a fact
'Cause the same black people dem seh I'm too black
And if yuh bleach out yuh skin dem same one come a chat

[Bridge]
Well, since yuh seh that I'm too black for you
I'll please yuh, do I look how you want me to?
Now I'm gonna see if you gonna say I'm too black for you
Or do I look pretty to you?
[Chorus]
Black people hypocrisy
Leave the girls dem with low self-esteem
Unu gwaan like seh yuh haffi brown fi pretty
Fuck di whole of dem dirty inequity
Dis a black people hypocrisy
Leave the girls dem with low self-esteem
I'm black and beautiful, I know I'm pretty
Fuck the whole of dem dirty inequity

[Verse]
Dem seh mi black til mi shine, til mi look dirty
And it's the only line in life that will ever hurt me
Because it never come from a Caucasian, trust mi
Dis a black colorism big hypocrisy
So if I wake up tomorrow look like a browning, oh!
Automatically mi would a carry di swing
Nuff a unnuh nah go like di song yah mi sing
Because nuff a unnuh guilty fi di same damn thing
What's your perception of a pretty woman (tell me)
Is it straight nose with her hair well long? (Tell me)
Black girls lose self-confident
Cause they attach the word "ugly" to our complexion

[Bridge]
Well, since yuh seh that I'm too black for you
I'll please yuh, do I look how you want me to?
[Chorus]
Black people hypocrisy
Leave the girls dem with low self-esteem
Unu gwaan like seh yuh haffi brown fi pretty
Fuck di whole of dem dirty inequity
Dis a black people hypocrisy
Leave the girls dem with low self-esteem
I'm black and beautiful, I know I'm pretty
Fuck the whole of dem dirty inequity

[Outro]
(It's not what you expect me to say
But I'mma go ahead and say it anyway)

POPCAAN HAS signed to Drake's OVO label, the Canadian rapper announced on Saturday.
The pair were on stage in St Thomas, Jamaica for Popcaan's Unruly Fest, a one day musical festival featuring some of the island's most prominent musicians.
Drake told the crowd: “This is something we worked on for a very long time. I just want to let everybody know finally, officially, 2019 Popcaan a sign to OVO."
The crowd erupted in response to the announcement.
Popcaan who was on stage as Drake shared the news then introduced Bounty Killer to the stage to perform.

Drake and Popcaan have collaborated in the past and publicly support each other's projects.
Popcaan featured on a version of Drake's hit Controlla, but was included in the album cut of the song.
Not everyone was happy to hear the news of the signing.
One Instagram commenter said: "When will Jamaicans stop allowing culture vultures to [own] them like slaves."
But a lot of Popcaan's fans seemed to be supportive of his move.
"Popcaan mi proud a yuh yute, you give every yute in Jamaica hopes and dream mi lion!" one fan commented on Instagram.
Another said: “People always wanna call someone a culture vulture but the question is what are you doing for your own culture? I mean Drake signed one of y’all own he helping make popcaan rich even Khaled linking with Buju going to help his career also worry about the people invading your land, buying your property and trying to take over, that’s a culture vulture not Drake. Y’all literally be worried about everything but your own damn life like bye. Even Bob Marley said majority of his supporters [were] overseas and in Europe! Didn’t they say in documentary that Bob didn’t wanna go back to Jamaica after his own people shot at him! Man go listen to Spice Black Hypocrisy.”

T'S official. Buju Banton's first major performance will be held on March 16 2019 at National Stadium in St Andrew.

Ronnie Tomlinson, publicist for the Grammy-winning deejay, confirmed the date with the Jamaican Media, noting tickets will go on sale as early as January 16 — two months before the highly anticipated performance by the artiste who was recently released from a United States prison after serving a near 10-year sentence on drug-related charges.

She, however, could not speak to any further details regarding the concert.
Buju Banton posted on his social media pages giving notice of the upcoming show.

“It's truly been a long walk to freedom...but I give thanks for the outpouring of love and support over the past 9 years ... I look forward to seeing and thanking you all on the Long Walk to Freedom tour, beginning March 2019,” said Buju Banton.

Meanwhile, a veil of secrecy surrounds the activities of American producer/record executive DJ Khaled and Buju Banton.
A source close to DJ Khaled noted that he is scheduled to leave the country on Sunday, but declined to furnish any details regarding the work being done
DJ Khaled has made it clear he is working on music for his Father of Asahd album while here in Jamaica, but has remained tight-lipped on whether or not Buju Banton will be included on this project.
The producer, who arrived in the island on Sunday, has taken to social media sharing his moments with not only Buju Banton but other artistes including Bounty Killer and Sizzla, and retired track and field superstar Usain Bolt.

However, the Instagram posts getting the most traction are those showcasing Buju Banton meeting with Khaled, his wife Nicole, and son Asahd. There are also videos featuring Buju Banton in studio with the music mogul.

“I'm in Jamaica and history is being made... Working on Father of Asahd with my son in Jamaica is the biggest blessing,” he noted in a post on Instagram.
“Me coming back to Jamaica is like so special for me. I'm embracing the blessing and embracing the vibes. Working on Father of Asahd, which is one of my biggest albums ever. Buju is home. I'm gonna visit all my friends, pull up on them. It's pure love,” he mused.
His Instagram account is dotted with photographs and videos from his beachside luxury villa on the north coast to the stops with his musical family. There are moments from his stop at Judgement Yard — the home of reggae artiste Sizzla which is located in the August Town area of St Andrew; and a link-up with Bounty Killer at Usain Bolt's Tracks and Records in the Corporate Area, where he has also been photographed with the world record holder.
On March 1, 2018 Khaled announced his 11th studio album, Father of Asahd, and its lead single Top Off, featuring Beyoncé, Jay-Z and Future. On July 23 Khaled announced the next single, titled No Brainer, featuring Justin Bieber, Chance the Rapper and Quavo, which was released on July 27.

There is no confirmed release date for the project.
