While admitting she has worn skimpy clothing before, the gold-selling artiste said sex has been over-marketed, creating problems for females not willing to go that route.
"We are now at the stage where young males want to see sexy women on their TV and on stage, which makes it harder for regular females. This creates a high level of inequality reserved and conscious female artistes, and the more outrageous ones. This impacts the females with reserved personalities more since they are usually offended when they are pressured to do things they don't necessarily agree with," she said.
As it relates to sexual harassment from male music-industry players, Tenza said she has experienced it first hand. She said females who think sleeping with producers and managers will help them to develop their careers are barking up the wrong tree.
"It is something I come across a lot of times. You have to be a real warrior that can rough up the man dem. Females need to educate themselves about the music industry. this will empower them with mental strength. They need to understand that sleeping with a producer will not take them to the top," she advised.
"That will only mean that you will need to sleep with the producer, engineer, the manager and the chain goes on because they all link. You will no longer be seen as an artiste in their eyes. before you know it, you are back to square one but now you have to live with a nasty reputation that cannot be undone."
Meanwhile Tenza, whose contract with Universal Japan ended recently, is promoting a single,The War Is On. The song is now available on iTunes and other digital platforms.
